Submit your ENC ideas this week

Just a short update on ENC:

If you’d like to share thoughts about the mayor’s proposed purchase of the Eastern Nazarene College campus and/or ideas for its future uses, please visit quincyma.gov/enc or email ENCfeedback@quincyma.gov by Friday, March 27!

The administration hosted a community meeting about these issues this past Wednesday at Central Middle School, with the mayor providing introductory remarks to more than 300 attendees in the auditorium. After that, residents filed out to other areas of the school where they shared ideas about the main campus, college-owned houses and open spaces, and traffic with representatives from various city departments. It was a well-run and well-attended meeting, and I look forward to reading the report that will soon be created from all the input received. To have your feedback included in that report, please share it by Friday, March 27!

The one ward 5 item I can see on the agenda is a request from the Wollaston Yacht Club to expand its alcohol license to include all alcohol (ie, canned cocktails), not just wine and beer. I was contacted about this request a couple of months ago and thought it sounded fine, as it would give Wollaston Yacht Club the same license as the Squantum Yacht Club right next door.

  • Saturday, March 28, 10 am: Resident council meeting. Fill out this form to work with other residents on issues you care about. Open to residents of any ward! I will send out an email with meeting details to folks who sign up!

  • Saturday, March 28, 11 am – 12:30 pm @ Hancock Adams Common: No Kings rally.
